Yes, some countries may have extra customs/ tax charges you need to be aware of. In which case, they will contact you for a small fee before releasing your parcel to you.

Artwork on this website is available for purchase worldwide, and shipping costs are calculated on checkout. Original works are packaged in the studio and shipped via:

– South African orders: The Courier Guy (free shipping)
– International orders: TUNL via Fedex and UPS (costs are calculated on checkout)

If you have a query about your purchase, please be sure to email me at studio@martliheyns.com. This is my preferred method of contact, as it ensures better recordkeeping and time management. Please do not send a DM or a WhatsApp text/voice message, as then I am unable to guarantee a response.

If you are not happy with the piece, I am happy to do a refund or exchange (for the price of the artwork), provided the original artwork is returned undamaged within 30 days and in all of its original packaging. Please note that shipping costs are not refundable, and no returns are allowed on sale/discounted items.

In the extremely rare event that your artwork doesn’t arrive in perfect condition, I have a 100% satisfaction guarantee for your peace of mind. But, kindly note that compensation for damage is only provided if the damage is due to mishandling by the postal/courier service. No refund, exchange, replacement or compensation can be given for the damage of products that have been mishandled by the customer. Please contact me within 24hrs of delivery with the details and clear photographs of the damage, so that I can resolve/address the matter promptly.

Please keep in mind that shipping original art can take a while.

Please allow 2-5 days for your original artwork to be varnished and prepped for safe shipment. Once the varnish has fully cured, the artwork will be boxed or crated to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

We do try to ship orders as quickly as possible, but please note that on the rare occasion, there may be delays in dispatching due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. shipping strikes, or global weather/health issues). Once dispatched, an email will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout.

It is difficult to accurately predict global shipping/delivery times, but all orders are tracked so that you can keep an eye on your parcel’s progress.

Your order confirmation is delivered to your inbox automatically after purchase. If you cannot find it in your primary inbox, it may have ended up in your spam folder, so please be sure to check. You can also log into your user account (if you create one on checkout) to view your order history or send an email to studio@martliheyns.com if you have any questions.

To preserve the integrity of works that rise in value over time, originals and any limited edition prints will arrive with a certificate of authenticity. Open edition prints on paper or canvas will not come with a certificate of authenticity.
