Panthera Africa is a non-profit company which was founded by Lizaene Cornwall and Cathrine Nyquist. One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where they create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and this s a sanctuary where no hands-on interaction is allowed, and no breeding or trading takes place.
On the 8th of January 2026, a fast-moving wildfire tore through the sanctuary, destroying several big cat camps and vital infrastructure. The damage was devastating, and they were forced to make the difficult but necessary decision to evacuate most of their animals, including all big cats.
I was happy to answer their call for support by making a donation and spreading the word via Social Media. Their need is ongoing, so please show also your support. I plan to contribute more to this sanctuary with future art sales.
